Within the context of my work consulting to Adult Protective Services and the Financial Abuse Specialist Team of Sacramento on the dynamics of elder financial abuse, I have developed expertise in the area of undue influence. I have consulted and provided expert testimony in a variety of criminal and civil proceedings where undue influence of a vulnerable elder is alleged. In such evaluations, I review the process constituting undue influence, including the psychobiological circumstances rendering elders vulnerable, and the exploitive techniques exerted on the elder victim.
